Record a Macro Function
This function is used to record all user events (or functions) in Northern Eclipse.
Click on Macro and then Record a macro, or press the macro Record Button. The macro recorder dialog box will now appear and from this point all events executed in Northern Eclipse will be recorded.
The Stop button stops macro recording and will immediately bring up the macro editor menu (see Macro Editor). The Pause button will pause macro recording and allow you run functions in Northern Eclipse without recording them. Once Pause is clicked, the Record button will become available. The Record button can be pressed to resume macro recording. The Detail button either closes or drops down a view window allowing the operator to view events as they are being recorded.
Hint: If you make a mistake while recording a macro, just keep recording because, from the Macro Editor, recorded steps can be removed and function calls can be added.
