Image Options |
This options page allows you to configure the options related to image windows.
New Image
Options
1) Cascade New Image Windows – When a new image window is created,
the position can be determined by the default cascade behavior of windows, or
it can be created at a specific position relative to the background as defined
by “Position new windows at”. The
cascade can be duplicated afterwards by using the Window
Cascade function. For large
images, you may need to disable the cascade behavior in order for more of the
image to be displayed on the screen.
2) Position new windows at – The position to use when “Cascade
New Image Windows” has been disabled.
The X and Y positions are set separately by their respective scrollbars.
3) Default Zoom – This option allows you to set the default zoom to use
when the Snap function is used. This allows you to compensate for
extremely small or extremely large image acquisitions. This setting can be also set afterwards
by using the Zoom function.
Image Window
Options
1) Snap new Images into current Image Window (if possible) – When
this option is enabled, Eclipse tries to use the current image window as the
destination for the Snap command. This requires that the current image
and the new image have the same dimensions and image type. This allows you to repeatedly update a
window that was previously snapped without increasing memory usage for each
snap. If this option is disabled,
or the incoming image is incompatible with the current image, then a new image
window is created and used.
2) Image windows have Titlebars – This option allows you to change the
appearance of an image window. If
this option is disabled, image windows will be created without a title
bar. This may be necessary in
order to fit a large image on the screen without scrolling (See General Options for other ways of reducing
screen real estate).
3) Image windows are Movable / Sizable – This option allows you to
change the behavior of an image window.
Normally, a window is created with the ability to move its position
relative to the background. It
also lets you resize the window.
The window border is created slightly larger in order to show that it is
Movable / Sizable. You can disable
this feature if you need the extra few pixels or do not want the ability to
size or move a window.
